The cone shape design draws better. It's like having a good designed chimney in your house. The cone shape also doesn't get clogged with excess ear wax, unlike the skinny straight ear candles in which if a person has excess wax, you'd have to use 2 candles. Do the job once and do it right. The cone shape also has a bigger flame which creates more vacuum. Remember flame sucks air.
