Popping  Ears  While  Flying

Basically you have air pockets in your body and when you go up or down in the plane, the air pressure changes , so the air pressure can different outside your body and the air pockets. It's the same as in a car driving over a mountain, but not as much as a plane. It's the same with scuba diving. The deeper you go the more the pressure. The first 15 ft is always the hardest to equalise. Once your 've equalised at 15 ft it's plain sailing.

As ear candles clear the sinuses and remove excess ear wax this will help a lot with equalisation.

Scuba  Diving  And  Ear  Candling

I have a Padi "Dive Masters Cert" and have been scuba diving for 30 odd years and have done ship wreck diving in the Soloman Islands for 2 weeks, Fiji for 5 days, Australia and the Great Barrier Reef for 2 months and all around New Zealand. I've also helped teach scuba diving.

Many years ago I used to get my ears syringed at the doctors which helped heaps with equalising diving down and flying, but I wasn't happy with the amount of pressure the doctor was putting on my ear drum which was more than a dive to 140 ft. Remember the ear drum is just a thin bit of skin which can be popped very easily , That's when I tried ear candles and it was wow, I 'am not going back to the doctors.
I 've been out on a few dive drips where people have had problems equalising trying to get down and have either spent a lot of time trying to get down or have had to give up and return to the boat.
Most people I know work hard for their money and have paid good money for their dive gear and dive trips.
So spending $10 on a pair of ear candles to help with equalising with scuba diving is so cheap and helps so much.
